Penetration Tester

Role and responsibilities

- Cloud application security assessments
- Exploiting identified vulnerabilities and discovering new ones
- Analysing and auditing web/mobile application source codes
- Penetration testing for web, desktop, and mobile apps
- Static and dynamic code testing, manual code inspection, threat modelling, design reviews to identify vulnerabilities and security defects
- Keeping up with the latest methods for ethical hacking and testing, evaluating new penetration testing tools on an ongoing basis
- Preventing, detecting and responding to abusive activities targeting SwipBox Cloud Platform by researching and developing detection techniques and solutions
- Implementing and maintaining enterprise security policies, procedures and standards to improve overall effectiveness of internal security controls.

Qualifications and education requirements

- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering or computer science
- Minimum 3 years’ experience

Preferred skills

- Real-time traffic analysis, network IDS and packet dissection
- Good understanding of tools and technologies for performing penetration testing
- CEH, OSCP or any security vendor certification
- Experience in testing business critical environments
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Proficiency in scripting, Unix operating systems and Windows
- Proficiency in Linux operating system configuration, utilities and programming
- Experience with manual external and internal penetration testing
- Solid understanding of information security and applied cryptographic protocols
- Good knowledge of security technologies for secure software development such as cryptography, authentication techniques and protocols etc.
