This is a hands-on role ideal for someone building a strong accounting foundation in a complex, real-world hardware and operations environment. The Staff General Ledger Accountant will prepare journal entries, own account reconciliations, support accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and help ensure the company’s books are accurate, clean, and well-supported.

We partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and FP&A to deliver accurate, timely financial insights that support operations in a national security and defense environment.

  • Partner with the cost accounting team to help tie inventory, WIP, and manufacturing activity into the general ledger.
  • Support audit requests by maintaining documentation and preparing schedules as needed.
  • Help improve accounting processes, internal controls, and record organization as the company scales.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance teams as needed.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience.
  • Basic understanding of US GAAP and monthly close processes.
  • Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Exposure to ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to partner across technical and operational teams in a fast-paced environment.

NICE TO HAVE

  • CPA or actively working toward CPA certification.
  • Experience in manufacturing, hardware, inventory, or fleet-based operating environments.
  • Public accounting background or audit support experience.
  • Familiarity with cost accounting concepts, including inventory, WIP, COGS, and variance analysis.

WHY THIS ROLE

This is a strong entry point into a growing company where you’ll get exposure to real-world operations, including manufacturing, inventory, and fleet-based systems. You’ll build a strong accounting foundation while working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment supporting maritime security and autonomous innovation.
