JioBLAST is a joint venture between Jio, RISE Worldwide and the Danish esports company BLAST ApS, officially launched in October 2025. The partnership's goal is to grow and shape the esports industry in India by creating world-class tournaments and competitive entertainment, leveraging Jio's digital ecosystem, BLAST's global esports expertise, and RISE's domestic sports experience.

As the Head of Marketing, you will own the end-to-end marketing vision, strategy, and execution for JioBLAST and its portfolio of IPs, partnerships, and platforms. This role is responsible for building scalable marketing engines, driving audience growth, and positioning JioBLAST at the center of gaming, entertainment, and youth culture in India.
You will operate at the intersection of brand, distribution, content, and community—leveraging Jio’s ecosystem, creator networks, and cultural insights to deliver high-impact campaigns that drive reach, engagement, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Define and lead the overall marketing strategy across all JioBLAST IPs (e.g., India Rising, publisher IPs, creator-led formats)
- Build annual and campaign-level marketing plans aligned with business, revenue, and audience growth goals
- Own the marketing P&L, budget allocation, and ROI tracking across channels
Campaign & IP Marketing
- Lead end-to-end campaign execution for major IP launches, tournaments, and festivals
- Design integrated marketing funnels across awareness, consideration, conversion, and retention
- Drive culturally relevant, Gen-Z-first storytelling across platforms and formats
Distribution & Growth
- Leverage Jio ecosystem for large-scale distribution and user acquisition
- Build performance marketing engines to drive registrations, ticketing, and platform growth
- Optimize conversion funnels and user journeys across owned and partner platforms
Content, Creators & Community
- Oversee content strategy across social, video, and platform-native formats
- Build and scale creator ecosystems for amplification, engagement, and co-creation
- Align community, social, and content teams into a unified audience growth engine
Brand & Positioning
- Define and evolve JioBLAST’s brand identity across IPs and campaigns
- Ensure consistency in brand voice, visual language, and cultural relevance
- Drive thought leadership, PR, and industry positioning for JioBLAST across stakeholders
- Position JioBLAST as a category leader in esports and youth entertainment
Partnerships & Commercial Integration
- Work closely with partnerships and sales teams to integrate brands into marketing narratives
- Develop sponsor amplification frameworks and co-branded campaigns
- Drive marketing-led value creation for partners and stakeholders
Data, Analytics & Insights
- Establish performance tracking frameworks across campaigns and channels
- Analyze audience behavior, campaign performance, and market trends
- Translate insights into actionable growth strategies
Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team across functions
- Collaborate with product, operations, partnerships, and creative teams
- Manage agencies, vendors, and external partners
- This position involves travel as part of the role. Candidates must be willing and able to travel as required.
- 8–12+ years of experience in marketing, with leadership roles in gaming, entertainment, media, or consumer tech
- Proven track record of building and scaling high-impact marketing campaigns and IPs
- Strong understanding of Gen-Z culture, creator economy, and digital ecosystems
- Experience managing large-scale campaigns, launches, or live events
- Deep expertise in performance marketing, brand marketing, and content strategy
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in marketing metrics and ROI tracking
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments with multiple stakeholders
Experience
- Experience leading marketing for large-scale consumer brands, platforms, or IPs
- Prior exposure to esports, gaming, sports, or youth culture is highly preferred
- Experience working with creators, influencers, and digital communities
- Background in start-up, agency, or high-growth environments is a plus
