About Phanofi

Phanofi, spinoff from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), was founded in October 2022. We are pioneering advancements in photonics technology to enhance data transmission efficiency for supercomputers and hyperscale datacenters. Our portfolio includes state-of-the-art photonics and electronics chips, integral to optical interconnects operating at 400 Gbit/sec and beyond. With a dedicated team of five full-time employees, we are at the forefront of designing and innovating semiconductor chips, driving the future of high-speed data communication.

Project Overview:

This internship offers a unique opportunity for aspiring quantum engineers to gain hands-on experience in experimental quantum optics and related technologies. The focus is on exploring the theoretical and practical aspects of quantum optics systems, emphasizing precision, noise management, and the characterization of quantum states.

As part of this project, interns will:

· Deepen their understanding of quantum communication principles.

· Contribute to building measurement setup and running quantum optical experiments.

· Work collaboratively to identify and address challenges in experimental implementation.

· Characterizing quantum states and assessing system performance through advanced experimental setups and data analysis.

What You’ll Gain:

· Identify and solve technical issues in quantum experiments.

· Create and apply strategies to analyze data from experiments.

· Understand and explain different methods used in quantum communication.

· Work effectively in a team to plan and complete group projects.

· Present and explain your experimental work clearly to others.

We are seeking enthusiastic students in quantum engineering or related fields with:

· A solid foundation in quantum mechanics and optics.

· Basic laboratory skills in optics and instrumentation.

· Interest in tackling technical challenges and contributing to innovative solutions.

· Programming experience (e.g., Python) for data analysis is a plus)

If you are passionate about quantum technologies and eager to contribute to groundbreaking developments in secure communication, Phanofi offers a supportive environment for learning and innovation.
