Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of photonics technology? We are looking for a talented photonics engineer to join our team in Lyngby, Denmark. As a key team member, you'll contribute to groundbreaking advancements in next-generation optical transceiver design.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test photonic integrated devices and systems for communication applications
  • Perform simulations, experiments, and data analysis to evaluate the performance of photonics devices
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in photonics, and optical communication
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, conference presentations, and publications
  • Participate in project planning, execution, and review meetings
  • Design PICs using multiple foundry platforms
  • Work closely with optoelectronic packaging houses resolving all DFM issues

Education And Experience

  • Master's or PhD in Photonics devices, optical communication, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in photonics research and development particularly PIC design

Skills

  • Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Ansys Lumerical, COMSOL) and programming languages (e.g., Python)
  • Strong understanding of photonics design theory and optical communication principles
  • Expertise in RF design using ADS or HFSS would be a plus
  • Strong teamwork abilities
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A good balance between attention to detail and ability to see the big picture
  • Strong personal interest in building an optical interconnect product from the ground up

Full-time employment, Kongens Lyngby 2800, Denmark (20 km north of Copenhagen).
