What is this role about?

As the second Product Manager at Onomondo, you are an essential contributor to our Product team that genuinely believes in strategic product thinking. By discovering & defining problems, helping to build the right solutions and setting the right strategy, you support our Core Network Squad with four engineers at every step of our product development and make sure that we create real value for our customers. While bringing in your learnings from past experience in Telco, you contribute to Onomondo’s main product offering, our core network, and challenge the industry.

Who are we?

Onomondo is a Copenhagen-based scale-up (series A, 21M EUR) that provides a cloud-native connectivity platform for the IoT industry. Key responsibilities:

  • Problem discovery: conduct research to identify & define customer pains/ needs; communicate findings to the organization and help in creating empathy for our users
  • Solution design: facilitate workshops, ideate on solutions, and support Engineering to solve user pains in a smarter way
  • Product delivery: help the squad in delivering solutions iteratively and with high quality; learn from feedback and use product data and analytics to measure success and impact
  • Team morale: guide the team by setting the right focus and direction; make sure that everyone feels welcomed and can be their best selves
  • Collaboration: prioritize requirements in accordance with business goals; create alignment in the whole organization around what Product is and is not building
  • Strategy: utilize the company vision and strategy to identify opportunities in the market and help in setting up the right product strategy for the squad
  • Evangelism: shape our Product culture, contribute to our vision and help us in educating the rest of the organization why Product is absolutely crucial and how we work

What you've probably been up to lately:

  • Experience as a Product Manager
  • Experience working in the Telecom space
  • Technical understanding of various Telecom related network elements, their responsibilities, how they fit together - and why some of them are archaic (eg. HLR/HSS or eUICC M2M vs. eUICC Consumer)

  • You like to challenge the status quo and can think critically.
  • You are keen on continuously working with your squad to improve team productivity and motivation, while also driving initiatives on your own.
  • You are a strong Product person that wants to drive the Product function forward and scale it together with the team.
