Onomondo is a series A scale-up (21M EUR) that provides a cloud-native connectivity platform for the IoT industry. Our mission is to simplify and accelerate IoT adoption by providing businesses with the tools and services to connect and manage their IoT devices securely and at scale.

We are a scale-up company with a tried and tested product that has won some of the most prestigious companies in the world as customers, including Maersk, Carlsberg and Bosch.

The role:

As an Engineering Manager at Onomondo, you have a pivotal role in managing and growing Engineers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong empathy to drive people to excel.

You will be joining our Core Network Squad with four other engineers. This squad has the responsibilities of our core offering, the telco related elements in our tech stack.

Your responsibility will be to bring guidance, mentorship, and support to help the team grow both technically and professionally, while also contributing as an individual bringing knowledge and coding skills to the equation.

What's in it for you?

  • You get the space, trust and autonomy to create a meaningful career for yourself but also to leave your mark on team and culture.
  • You get a competitive salary, five weeks of vacation and great health care.
  • We want you to be part of our growth and success, so warrants are part of your package.
  • You can work from our 2000 sqm HQ in Islands Brygge but also flexible from home, if you need some focus time.
  • You get a fully catered lunch, a full snack bar and drinks, plus lots of love from our office manager.
  • You get some time to exercise during work hours to make sure that you stay physically and mentally healthy.
  • We have several office dogs, a Soundboks, shuffle boards, indoor frisbee golf - and all the other goodies to become a cliché of a scale up.
  • And most importantly, we have a lovely bunch of colleagues who love to spend time together working but also having fun.

Key responsibilities:

  • People Management: Mentor and coach the team of engineers, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their career goals and maximize their potential.
  • Team Development: Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that values collaboration, diversity, and continuous improvement, while identifying skill gaps and development opportunities within the engineers.
  • Contribution to Development: Collaborate with the engineering team to understand technical requirements and contribute to development tasks as needed, leveraging technical expertise to support the engineers.
  • Stay informed: Keep yourself up-to-date about emerging technologies and trends in software development and telecom, and incorporate relevant advancements into development processes and practices.
  • Team morale: guide the team by setting the right focus and direction; make sure that everyone feels welcomed and can be their best selves.

What you've probably been up to lately:

  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role, with a focus on people management and team development.
  • Experience working in the Telecom space.
  • Technical understanding of communication protocols and network architecture.

  • You are curious and like to listen.

Here at Onomondo, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workspace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
