MedTrace is looking for Backend Developer to be part of a growing software development team building software as a medical device, in compliance with regulatory requirements for PET diagnostic imaging.

Our products are designed to help patients be diagnosed quickly and accurately, and we are dedicated to becoming the global leader in perfusion imaging. We are growing rapidly, backed by strong investors such as ATP, BankInvest, Swisscanto, Private Equity, and the European Innovation Council.

You will be part of an IT development team consisting of backend developers, frontend developers, and MATLAB developers. The team is located in, Denmark but also in Spain and the Netherlands.

This role is intended to strengthen the backend competencies at MedTrace to ensure a strong software development organization. Collaborating on and implementing the design of the Java layer of the server-side solution, with a collection of Spring Boot applications. Working closely with frontend developers to build the interfaces between the UI and the backend.

The team has the responsibility for the full medical device software lifecycle. As a development and operations team, this means building and testing the software, installing and maintaining it at hospitals, and acting on feedback. Installations of the first product version are being executed now.

Key responsibilities:

• Implementation, testing, and documentation of the backend of the application in Java

• Sparring on the technical design

Requirements:

• At least one of the following is true of you:

• You have earned a master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar OR

• You have been actively working as a backend or full-stack developer

• You live in the greater Copenhagen area

• Fluent in written and verbal English

It is bonus if you have experience with any of the following:

• Java, particularly 17 or 21, is highly valued

• Developing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)

• Spring Boot
