Job Description

This role will be based in Mountain View, San Francisco or New York.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our strategic finance team who will lead a team and be a key strategic business partner for our advertising product line (LinkedIn Marketing Solutions). As a member of this team, you will partner with cross functional teams and be the point person for maintaining, analyzing, and communicating relevant business and performance metrics for your product lines, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances, identifying and quantifying growth opportunities, and providing strategic analyses and recommendations to our key stakeholders.

You will be directly involved in the coordination of the various product strategy plans and planning cycles, as well as overall business performance management. Strict attention to detail, an ability to set and meet tight deadlines, a curious mindset, and go-getter attitude are important for your success.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Thinking

  • Identifies new opportunities for growth within scope of responsibility and adjacent areas , ensures pressure testing of growth opportunities and drives strategy development with business partners.
  • Supports team members in operationalizing ideas and drives the development of plans for execution.
  • Leads collaborative relationships with other teams leverages input and feedback to develop ideas and see opportunities for growth.


Performance Management

  • Responsible for performance management by creating, maintaining, and updating models and forecasts. Develops hypotheses in investigations using identified signals, trends, and risks.
  • Supports partnerships with cross-functional teams to design experiments to close deviations from targets.


Stakeholder Influence

  • Communicates implications of work (e.g., forecasts, analyses, trends) and necessary context to senior management and key stakeholders to drive action.
  • Leverages insights, data, and internal/external trends to develop narratives to influence stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • Drives alignment by synthesizing problems and communicates point of view to support decision-making on strategic issues.


Execution & Organization

  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders and provides guidance to support the growth of initiatives by providing a metrics-oriented perspective.
  • Provides guidance and expertise to stakeholders by answering a wide variety of complex questions.


Culture & Values

  • Coaches team members and provides actionable, concrete project-oriented feedback (after a meeting, end-of-project review) to colleagues and/or partners.
  • Supports career development goals of the team and encourages opportunities for people development, movement and transformation across the team and company.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND
  • 8+ years experience in finance, investment banking, management consulting, strategy and operations, or related experience in driving monetization growth
  • OR equivalent experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the technology industry
  • Experience or understanding of the advertising technology industry
  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills, including experience in interacting with large datasets
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, teamwork, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate thought leadership and manage relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Adaptable and able to react quickly to changing business needs and guide the team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to seek information independently, connect the dots, solve conceptual problems and consider options for improvement
  • Proven ability to coordinate and execute projects, effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and autonomously perform within tight deadlines

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $146,000-237,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
