This is a full-time engineering role based in Sunnyvale, CA

Team Overview:

This role is within the Foundational AI organization (FAIT) at our company. Our organization is dedicated to addressing the most challenging AI foundational problems encountered in our business operations. Generative AI (GAI) has been instrumental in transforming user experiences and driving platform innovation at LinkedIn. GAI evaluation is crucial for ensuring quality control and fostering user trust in our GAI products. As we forge ahead, we are embarking on new endeavors to develop the platform and tools necessary to tackle the complex challenges of GAI evaluation.

Responsibilities include:

*Collaborating with leadership on team strategy for GAI evaluation
* Working with a team of backend engineers, front-end engineers, and UX/UI designers to develop the platform/tool for GAI evaluation, including integration with our auto-evaluation framework.
* Providing technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional, and company-wide critical programs. Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.
* Staying updated on emerging technologies and incorporating them into our work.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
* 4+ years of industry experience designing and building enterprise grade applications
* 4+ years of experience with object-oriented programming (Java, Python, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

* 8+ years of industry experience, including prior work building platforms/tooling for large scale data.
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Prior experience building applications in the machine learning or AI domain
* Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and the ability to bring together multiple types of engineers (Front End, Back End, UI/UX, etc.).
* Leadership skills demonstrated by mentoring and providing technical guidance to a team.

Compensation:

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $175,000 - $235,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
