Senior Engineer, Ads Ranking AI - ML Systems

This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Team Information:

The Ads Ranking team is responsible for AI models and infrastructure in the Marketing Solutions business ($5.5B+) at LinkedIn. The team works on diverse infrastructure problems across deep-learning AI model inference with 25ms SLAs, end-to-end signal latency for content embeddings, large scale (1B+ param) model training, near-real-time signal gathering and in-session ranking.

Responsibilities:

• Solve cutting-edge ML/AI infrastructure problems that empower large & small businesses to reach, engage, and convert professional audiences at scale.

• Design and develop solutions involving large amounts of data, and multiple interconnected ML inference and data systems

• Write production quality code and influence the next generation of LinkedIn’s engineering solutions.

• Collaborate across the team (10+ engineers) to deliver impact for Ads on LinkedIn Feed and Messaging.

• Build scalable AI innovations with foundation and infrastructure partners

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related technical discipline, or related practical experience.

• 2+ years experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.

• 2+ years programming experience in Java

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant experience building large scale systems and machine learning infrastructure

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline

• Working knowledge in one or more of the following: machine learning (ML), data mining, information retrieval, search or statistics

• 2+ years of experience with Scala, Python, and/or Tensorflow

• Experience working with streaming solutions (Kafka, Samza, etc.)

Compensation:

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $164,000 - $221,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
