Job Description

The LinkedIn Knowledge Management Solutions (KMS) team at LinkedIn is responsible for creating and delivering self-service content for LinkedIn’s members, customers and employees. The team creates instructional, procedural, and technical content using both traditional and Generative AI methods. This content is made available externally through LinkedIn's Help Centers, Chat Assistants, and in-product experiences, including those driven by AI/GAI.

As a Senior Content Strategist, you will be responsible for supporting the content needs of a line of business while contributing to the KMS writing style and processes. Defining a data driven, user-centered content strategy, creating timely content for feature releases, mentoring, and providing quality feedback to team members, interacting with product leadership and partners to understand the evolution of the products will be some of your primary responsibilities.

Empowering our users with the right content at the right time is our number one priority. The role is dependent on your ability to collaborate with partners and team members across locations to gather the information required to develop relevant and complete content for the users. You will be working closely with Product Operations, Product Education, and Project Marketing teams to create and define great content experiences for LinkedIn members and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, user-centered content using traditional and GAI methods.
  • Deliver accurate and timely content tailored for delivery channels such as help center, in-product help, chatbots and virtual assistants as per LinkedIn voice and tone and based on inputs from stakeholders
  • Define and own content strategy to support product launches. Content strategy includes using data and insights to build and curate content for the post-sales customer journey, defining the set of content deliverables, creating modular topics for different channels, and working closely with key stakeholders for review and approval.
  • Partner with Knowledge Engineering and Data Science teams to score and validate chatbot outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand guidelines and industry standards
  • Analyze content performance metrics and user feedback to determine health of content and share insights with partners and other writers.
  • Represent the KMS team on cross-functional projects and perform project leadership roles, while fostering teamwork and collaboration within and across teams.
  • Work with partners to retrieve, organize, analyze, and synthesize complex subject matter and transform it into easy-to-understand information.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and business experience to recommend new processes or projects and launch to global teams.
  • Respond to content-related escalations, serving as point-of-contact and effectively resolving complex issues.
  • Train and upskill new team members on products, writing processes, and tools.
  • Model LinkedIn’s culture and values and actively participate in developing a healthy team culture.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industry and technical writing experience
  • Experience in technical writing or knowledge management practices
  • Experience in working with content management systems (any) and authoring tools (any).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in creating and validating content for AI conversational interfaces and familiarity with prompt engineering principles is an advantage.
  • Experience in conversational content, prompt engineering, and generating content using GAI tools
  • Experience in DITA or other topic-based authoring methodology.
  • Knowledge of KCS, Information Mapping, or similar methodologies and practices.
  • Knowledge of the latest industry trends and best practices in creating content for AI-powered experiences
  • Proficiency using content authoring tools such as Heretto, Paligo, XMetal, Oxygen.
  • Sound analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Enjoys working within teams (both local and global) but can also work independently

The pay range for this role is $89,000 to $135,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
