Who are we looking for?
At Lenus, we are dedicated to making the world a happier and healthier place by empowering online coaches. In a product context, this entails handling highly sensitive data such as chat messages, health metrics, and client files.
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to take ownership of our security posture, from application code to cloud infrastructure and assist with organizational compliance. You will help ensure we deliver a compliant, secure, and trustworthy platform for our coaches and their clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Product & Application Security (DevSecOps): Working hands-on with our engineering teams to embed security best practices into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This includes threat modeling, performing static/dynamic analysis, and securing authentication/authorization mechanisms.
- Infrastructure & Cloud Security: Overseeing the security configuration of our entire cloud environment, including firewall, access management, and enforcing the principle of least privilege.
- Security Operations & Incident Response: Managing the systems for monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents across the organization.
- Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC): Collaborating with and assisting the Legal department with the implementation of security frameworks and compliance to regulations such as GDPR. Driving security awareness and overseeing phishing campaigns
Qualifications
We value diverse experiences and backgrounds. While not all qualifications are mandatory, the ideal candidate should possess:
- A versatile skill set, comfortable operating at all layers - from analyzing HTTP requests and JavaScript code to setting up secure infrastructure on AWS.
- A strong, practical understanding of core application security concepts (OWASP TOP 10) and cloud security principles.
- A genuine passion about privacy and security, you are the one who advocates for two-factor authentication and encryption across all tools, you actively monitor Hacker News and security feeds, quickly assessing how new vulnerabilities might affect our stack.
- Strong communication skills, able to translate complex technical risks into clear, actionable advice for both engineers and business stakeholders
- A professional track record of working as a Security Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer, or similar, with a history covering the full security domain.
- Proven experience conducting technical penetration tests and leading security incident investigations.
It’s a bonus if you have:
- Practical experience with security compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or regulations like NIS2 or GDPR.

This diverse team includes specialists in infrastructure, databases, and product architecture.
