Business Development Engineer

Kvantify is looking for a scientifically trained professional to help expand our reach in the pharma, biotech, and life science sectors. You will play a hands-on role in communicating our computational drug discovery platform (Koffee) and related services to potential partners, supporting business development through a mix of scientific understanding, strategic thinking, and direct client engagement. This role is suited for someone with a strong scientific background who wants to bridge research and business, helping clients adopt cutting-edge computational methods in drug discovery.
In your role, you will:
- Develop a deep understanding of Kvantify's technology, services, and research collaborations
- Identify and engage with clients within pharma, biotech, and life science sectors in Europe and North America
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial long-term client relationships through engaging and clear communication
- Drive business development initiatives, including scientific collaborations, lead generation, market research and competitive analysis
- Assist with outreach proposals, presentations, and pitches
- Maintain our CRM systems with up-to-date information and tracking opportunities
- Represent Kvantify at scientific and industry conferences, including planning and booth attendance
- Support lead generation and market research
Ideally, these are your competencies:
- Fluent written and spoken English, suitable for professional communication and presentations
- PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Computational Chemistry, Biophysics, Computer Science or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience with business development or similar commercial roles within pharma, biotech, or tech markets
- Experience with market research and identifying potential business opportunities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex scientific ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Flair for connecting with people and building long-term scientific collaborations
