About Klimate

Our CO₂ asset management platform allows companies to actively secure high-quality carbon removal solutions, turning a carbon liability into future assets.

We strategically finance carbon removal projects based on environmental responsibility as well as social and economic development.

Our core purpose is to scale and accelerate the development of carbon removal methods and technologies needed to reverse climate change.

We are 17 people with 13 different nationalities who all share a passion for scaling solutions to combat the climate crisis.

Your mission

In your role as our UK Sales & Country Manager, you'll serve as the face of our company in the UK and you’ll report directly to our CCO.

Your primary focus will be on fostering strong connections with our existing and prospective clients, employing a deep sense of empathy and insight into their businesses to aid in crafting effective carbon removal strategies.

Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for Klimate's expansion, navigating the legal and logistical landscapes of the UK, and eventually assembling and leading a dedicated team.

Your responsibilities will also extend to representing Klimate at various events, spanning from large-scale gatherings to intimate roundtable discussions, where your expertise in Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) will be showcased. Rest assured, we'll provide you with the necessary tools and support to excel in this domain.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Lead Complex Enterprise Sales: Manage end-to-end sales processes for complex enterprise clients. You will have marketing support and inbound opportunities to manage however there is also an expectation of sourcing opportunities yourself.
  2. Be our Country lead: Ability to work independently and handle diverse tasks including setting up UK entity, hosting events, networking, and delivering keynotes.
  3. Team Building: Eventually we will ask you to build up a team where you’ll lead hiring, parts of training, and guidance of staff members.
  4. Drive the business forward: Having full agency should excite you and you’ll be running a business within our business. Here demonstrating agility, adaptability in decision-making and execution will be key.

Required skills & attributes:

  • Sales Expertise and Professionalism: Proven track record of successfully managing complex solution focused enterprise sales cycles.
  • Carbon Markets Experience: Knowledge or experience in carbon markets is a huge plus.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently.
  • Empathetic and solutions driven: You’re a kind person that loves helping people whether they are colleagues, clients or partners.
  • People Management: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, preferably in a sales or business development context.
