Evosep is seeking a motivated and experienced business development professional to join our growing team. The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within EMEA for pharmaceutical and biotech accounts and will be a brand champion for our innovative LC-MS/MS based separations platform for proteomics, the Evosep One. This role will also drive BD efforts for our new Evosep Biolabs proteomic analytical services offering.

Through collaborations with world-leading scientists we work to develop new technologies and solutions to make sample separation 10 times faster and 100 times more robust than todays’ alternatives.

Evosep Biolabs provides proteomics assay/ workflow development and analytical services by industry experts on state-of-the art LC-MS/MS instrumentation to enable improved biological insights through standardized separation methods. The resulting assays provide scalable capacity for the outsourcing of protein biomarker discovery and translational research projects.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Support BD leadership to further develop Evosep’slong-term strategic direction and accelerate growth in non-academic markets.
  • Identify and penetrate new accounts in the pharmaceutical and biotech segments.
  • Nurture existing account relationships by ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Develop strategies to promote Evosep Biolabs’ proteomic analytical services and attract new clients via networking, industry events, and digital marketing.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Share market insights and feedback with broader organization.
  • Enable the organization to achieve revenue and unit volume targets.
  • Organizational mapping to uncover decision makers.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and organizational stakeholders (technical and commercial teams), closely collaborating and prioritizing adjacent workflow opportunities.
  • Plan and prepare presentations and proposals that address client’s pain points.
  • Work effectively with legal, finance, regulatory, marketing, and scientific teams.

Qualifications

For this role, the following qualifications would also be preferable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the sciences required with a minimum of five years’ experience serving LC – MS/MS laboratories, in a market development, business development, corporate strategy, or sales role serving the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. (MBA or MSc degree a plus).
  • Demonstrated understanding of the drug discovery and development process.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue growth.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Expertise with LC-MS/MS based proteomics workflows (i.e., biomarker discovery, biomarker validation…etc.) is preferred.
  • Ability and interest to contribute across the organization; flexibility to accept and contribute to critical projects outside of business development.
  • This is a remote role that can be located anywhere within Western and Central Europe with the ability and willingness to travel up to 50% (consistently around 30% will be more common).
