The power grid is changing faster than the software running it. Renewables are flooding supply, prices swing wildly, and millions of EV batteries sit idle on driveways every night, completely disconnected from the markets that need them most. enkel is the platform that closes that gap. We integrate directly with energy markets and connect distributed EV assets to the grid in real time. For our customers, that means earnings from their car. For grid operators, it means flexibility at scale, without building a single new power plant. We are building the connection between consumers and the grid: a layer that every stakeholder in the energy transition needs.

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to own the app development. This is a hands-on role for someone who can combine product thinking, customer understanding, and mobile engineering. You will decide what gets built, ship it yourself, and own with the result.

You have proven experience owning a consumer product where trust, simplicity, and money clarity are first-order concerns – fintech, home energy, or similar – and you have shipped real changes in production, not just shaped roadmaps.

You have strong instincts for what matters and what does not. You know which parts of a product must not fail, and which are fine for now, with no PM queue and no spec waiting for you.

What You Will Do

  • Understand the users: spend real time with support conversations, reviews, and behaviour in the data
  • Decide what matters: set priorities yourself from what you learn, business needs, and your own judgment
  • Ship it: build and release changes, end-to-end, using AI heavily for coding, testing, and iteration
  • Measure whether it worked: instrument what you ship and be honest about what moved and what did not
  • Improve it again: treat the app as a product you keep sharpening, not a project you finish

What We Offer

  • A mission worth showing up for, and a company with the traction to prove it is working
  • Real ownership of a product used every day by real customers, with the latitude to shape it
  • A small, high-calibre team that values clear thinking, fast execution, and judgment over process
  • Fast pace and decision-making speed, without sacrificing engineering rigour
  • Competitive compensation

We know great candidates come from many different paths and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
