The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Project Management to lead and oversee our team of Technical Project Managers who drive the delivery of cutting-edge digital products for our Life Science partners. This is a senior leadership role where you will be responsible for ensuring that our projects are executed with excellence, on time, and within budget, while also meeting the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

• Provide leadership to the Project Management team, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with Dawn Health’s objectives.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple complex software products, ensuring projects are completed successfully and meet client expectations.
• Develop and implement best practices, frameworks, and methodologies for technical project management within the software engineering domain.

Project Management Excellence:

• Lead and mentor a team of Technical Project Managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence.
• Ensure robust project planning, resource allocation, and risk management processes are in place to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, design, QA, and regulatory affairs, to deliver high-quality products.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
• Work closely with Product Management and clients to understand business requirements, translating them into actionable project plans and deliverables.
• Manage client communications and reporting, ensuring transparency and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Expertise:

• Apply your deep understanding of software engineering and product development to guide technical decisions and problem-solving.
• Ensure that products are built in compliance with relevant regulations, including those related to Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that the technical architecture supports the scalability, performance, and security requirements of the product.

Consultancy Experience:

• Leverage your consultancy background to provide strategic advice to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of digital product development in regulated environments.
• Ensure that all projects deliver not only on technical requirements but also add strategic value to our clients’ businesses.

About You:

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in technical project management within the software engineering field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in delivering complex software products, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences sectors.
• Strong background in consultancy, with the ability to understand client needs and translate them into successful product deliveries.

Skills:

• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team.
• Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
• Experience in regulated industries, particularly digital health, is highly desirable.
