We are looking for a Cloud/Backend Engineer for our established and growing Cloud & Web team. The team is responsible for building and maintaining a variety of APIs, web apps and -solutions, and for providing CMS (Content Management System) and content APIs for Mobile Apps built by our talented Android and iOS development teams.

The Opportunity:

Software Engineering at Dawn Health is at the core of everything we do. Within the first months of your employment, you will participate in training programs giving you the knowledge to develop digital health solutions (such as Medical Device Software). Digital Health is a rapidly growing industry within healthcare, and new regulatory frameworks in the EU and US continuously raises the bar for the safety and efficacy that can be demonstrated by such digital solutions.

As a Cloud/Backend Engineer, you will get to work on products that help patients around the world and collaborate with other passionate software engineers to bring the most intuitive and useful digital therapies and apps to life.

About You:

• Have +3 years of experience working within the .Net ecosystem.

- Middleware and HTTP pipeline

- REST API, EF Core, Automated Testing (e.g. unit/integration)

• Have +1 years of experience working with Azure PaaS

- App service, SQL DB, Functions

- Bonus: Infrastructure-as-Code in Bicep/Terraform

• Can adapt and implement solutions in different architectural patterns like MVC and Clean architecture.
• Have experience with the SOLID principles.
• Have knowledge of relational database concepts like SQL, indexes and constraints, transactions, and object-relational mapping (Entity Framework). Specific experience with MS SQL Server is a bonus.
• Have the ability and motivation to document System Designs, Architecture, Configurations on various levels of detail.
• Have experience with git and git flows.
• Have professional proficiency in English.

Your Responsibilities:

• Build and document architectures that are certified Medical Device software.
• Design and implement new Backend and Cloud applications supporting both small-scale mobile app projects and large-scale integrations.
• Work in close collaboration with the product and development team using agile workflows and best practices.
• Support our Business Development team with technical input and project estimations.
• Support our Project Managers in writing project specs and technical insight.
• Engage with continuous delivery workflows in rapid development cycles.
