The Role

If you enjoy working in a fun, autonomous, and collaborative team, guided by shared values and a willingness to act, iterate, and learn, then come join Corti as a Lead Platform Engineer and help us scale to the next level.

In this role, you will lead the platform foundations and oversee the engineers behind Corti’s Call Recorder and Mission Control products, owning the infrastructure that powers some of our most critical customer-facing capabilities. This role is hands-on by design, with approximately 80% focused on engineering work and 20% on team leadership, where you will shape the next iteration of our multi-tenant Kubernetes setup, helping scale the infrastructure to handle over 100 million calls per year.

You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that Call Recorder and Mission Control are reliable, secure, and performant at scale. Additionally, you will help our engineers move faster by creating solutions that significantly improve developer experience.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and managing a team of three Engineers

• Working closely with stream-aligned product teams to ensure that our systems are scalable, reliable and performant.

• Designing and implementing automation tools and processes to improve the efficiency of our development and operations teams.

• Designing and architecting our platform to scale as the company grows.

• Creating and improving the existing toolset for developers improving their developer experience.

• Driving a strong culture of development at Corti through mentorship and knowledge sharing of people inside as well as outside the team.

What you bring:

• People management experience

• 5+ years of experience in a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer or similar roles.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Such as architecting a multi-tenant cluster, implementing GitOps, horizontal/vertical scaling and running a fault resilient cluster

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP. Such as deploying infrastructure-as-code, configuring cloud resources to meet security and compliance standards

• Strong knowledge of a programming language such as Golang, C++ or Java.

• Experience with managing and operating distributed systems such as CockroachDB, ElasticSearch or Apache Kafka.

• Experience writing CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Github Actions.

• Experience writing Infrastructure as Code - preferably Terraform

• Worked on creating Kubernetes operators.

• Implementing Developer tools such as internal frontends, APIs or CLI tools.

• Implementing security standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, CJIS or GDPR.
