Tasks And Responsibilities

Operations Management supporting category management:

~ 50% allocation

  • Support day-to-day operations in Indirect Procurement by executing and overseeing the end-to-end procurement process for indirect categories, ensuring timely and cost-effective Purchasing
  • Query Management: Handle and resolve queries from internal stakeholders, suppliers and other relevant parties sent to Indirect Project Managers, Category Managers and Global Category Leads in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Engage with stakeholders to understand needs, provide procurement support, and communicate progress on activities.
  • Procurement: based on scope, run RFQs for low and mid‑tier spend, identify potential suppliers, and negotiate contracts using Novonesis templates where possible
  • Support supplier management: attend meetings, track and follow up actions, and help resolve issues beyond Buy@novonesis team scope
  • Contract management: Based on contract status in Procurement’s contract repository, do renegotiations of contracts, amend contracts, sign and file contracts in contract repository
  • Maintain catalogues in Buy@novonesis (Coupa): Content, prices, new products and forms.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations in “SPM” system for new and re‑evaluations.
  • Support category‑specific systems (e.g. Travel, Digilab for R&L).
  • Analyze spend data to identify savings and implement cost‑reduction initiatives.

Process Improvement

  • Service excellence: Together with Procurement Ops. contribute to Procurement Operation’s position as a central service function (CSS) in Novonesis.
  • Assess/Consult and Resolve specific/focused pain areas within P2P
  • Provide input to Category Managers on improvements to suppliers, systems or processes within Indirect Procurement
  • Ensure policy and buying‑channel compliance and support rollout of the “One Way to PO” strategy.

Car leasing Operations: Day to Day support:

~ 50% allocation

Regional support of Car Leasing and Fleet management (MOTUS) operations, thereby stabilizing operating model in Novonesis with support from regional procurement, P&O and finance

Reporting

Direct Reporting to Head of Global Operational Procurement & Master data

Reporting to Regional Indirect Procurement Head (EMA) for task prioritization and planning

Educational

Education, Experience and Expertise Required

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, supply chain management, or related field.

Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have working experience from Global Indirect Procurement Operations and ambition to develop further within this area
  • A minimum 7-10 years of experience in Indirect Procurement Operations, with min. 3 years in ‘senior’ role.

Functional Knowledge

  • Proficiency in SAP is a prerequisite.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end procure-to-pay process.
  • High proficiency in Excel and MS Office tools
  • Proficiency in working within a global set up (especially European, American and Indian stakeholders and suppliers)
  • High proficiency in verbal and written English and prepared to use online translations for communication with colleagues not so proficient in English.
