As a Science Manager, you will combine cutting-edge science with practical application, connecting external innovation to Novonesis and delivering high-impact solutions for our corporate and seed ventures.
Welcome to Technology Deployment
Within the Technology Deployment team, you will work closely with colleagues from R&D, Regulatory, IP, Legal, and Business Development. Our unit is responsible for the scientific and technical progress of ventures, and you will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including academic partners, CROs/CMOs, and key opinion leaders.
In This Role You’ll Make An Impact By
You will play a pivotal role in advancing the technical progress of our corporate ventures. In addition,your contributions will include participating in external scouting, supporting business assessment activities, and helping to leverage external innovation for Novonesis. You will also be involved in strategy development and tactical planning, , ensuring our ventures move forward with clarity and purpose.

- Driving innovation strategy by combining science and application understanding with customer needs to deliver impactful solutions
- Leading and coordinating cross-functional development across R&D, legal, IP, and regulatory
- Acting as Project Lead from early scoping to execution
- Managing external collaborations with partners, CROs/CMOs, and industry experts
- Interacting with relevant start-ups and connecting them to internal stakeholders
To Succeed You Must Hold
- PhD within biotechnology or adjacent areas
- 5 years of experience within the biotech industry
- Experience from larger corporations
- Ability to translate science into plain language
- Previous start-up experience is an advantage
- Project management interest and track record
- Understanding of innovation processes
- Experience with stakeholder management in larger organizations or with external partners
- Expert level English communication
