• Main tasks:
• Overall Plant Maintenance: Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant electrical systems including HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, PCC/MCC panels, process Equipment and utilities, review electrical schematics/SLDs, BOQ when required
• Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance as per schedule and handle breakdowns with root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• HT/LT Power Distribution Management: Operate and maintain 22KV HT switchgears (VCB), LBS, 22000/440V transformers (with OLTC), PCC/MCC panels, and APFC & Harmonic systems for safe and stable power supply.
• Utility & process Electrical Systems Management:
• Maintain electrical systems of boilers, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, RO plants, HVAC, and other critical utilities & Equipment’s.
• Compliance & Documentation (GMP/ISO):
  
  

Maintain ISO and GMP documentation, calibration records, PM logs, and ensure compliance with food safety and electrical regulations.

• Spare Parts & Cost Control:
  
  

Monitor electrical spare inventory, ensure critical spare availability, and support maintenance cost control.

• Regulatory Compliance:
  
  

Ensure adherence to all legal requirements, statutory norms, and company standards.

• Other tasks:
• Ensure compliance with Indian Electricity Rules and electrical safety standards.
• Monitor energy consumption and support energy optimization initiatives.
• Participate in audits (Internal, ISO, GMP, Food Safety) and ensure audit readiness.
• Support LEAN, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure contractor safety and safe work permit compliance during electrical jobs.
• Key stakeholders:
• Internal Stakeholders:
• Coordinate with Production, Quality/EHS, Supply Chain, Projects and Engineering teams to ensure smooth maintenance, Support plant modifications and expansions. compliance, spare availability, and plant improvements.
• External Stakeholders:
• OEMs and electrical equipment vendors
• Electrical contractors
• Statutory electrical inspectors and auditors
  
  

Working Relationship

• Collaborative, proactive, and cross-functional coordination to ensure reliable plant operations.
• Industrial/technical background
• Experience in process plants such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, FMCG, or similar industries.
• Experience working in GMP-controlled environments.
  
  

Strong Hands-on Knowledge Of

• HT/LT systems and switchgear
• Transformers with OLTC
• DG sets, UPS and power backup systems
• PCC/MCC panels
• APFC panels and power factor correction
• Electrical troubleshooting and schematic reading
• Electrical safety systems and grounding
• Familiarity with SAP/CMMS for PM planning preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)

• English: Professional working proficiency
• Local language (Hindi/ Marathi) : Preferred for shop-floor communication
• Personal/behavioural skills
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently during breakdown situations
• High accountability and ownership mindset
• Strong compliance and documentation discipline
• Safety-conscious and GMP-focused
