Join us as our new Senior Manager, Quality Control as a part of Global Quality Control:

We are looking for an experienced leader to head our expanded Quality Control (QC) organization in Germany, overseeing three QC departments in Pohlheim, Nienburg, and Rheinbreitbach. In this role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure efficient, compliant QC operations that support product quality and business growth.

Based in Pohlheim, you will report to the Head of Global Quality Control (Denmark), be part of the extended global leadership team, and collaborate closely with regional and global stakeholders.

You will translate the global QC strategy into strong local execution, build high-performing teams, and promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the German sites.

In This Role You’ll Make An Impact By

As Senior Manager for QC Germany, you will lead QC operations for our sites in Pohlheim, Nienburg and Rheinbreitbach, working closely with QC leaders, academics, and leaders across Germany and the wider Novonesis organization.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Providing strategic and operational leadership for QC across the three German sites
• Aligning regional QC activities with global standards, policies, and procedures
• Ensuring regulatory and internal compliance with all relevant quality and safety requirements
• Driving continuous improvement in service performance, quality, productivity, and cost
• Acting as a visible and trusted partner for plant management, Quality Operations, and other functions, ensuring QC supports both day-to-day operations and long-term growth
• Building and developing high-performing teams, fostering a strong safety, quality, and accountability culture across all QC departments in Germany
  
  

To Succeed You Must

• Hold a relevant degree, preferably a BSc or above in microbiology, food science, engineering, or a similar field
• Bring solid people leadership experience, preferably from multi-site or regional roles
• Have a strong quality mindset combined with good business understanding
• Are skilled at leading through others, setting clear direction, and creating engagement in diverse teams
• Communicate clearly and effectively with different stakeholders, from operational staff to senior leaders, and enjoy cross-cultural collaboration
• Are fluent in English (German language skills are an advantage)
• Are willing to travel within Germany and occasionally internationally
  
  

Please note: This is a hybrid position based at our site in Pohlheim. Depending on experience, we may also consider candidates to be based at Nienburg or Rheinbreitbach sites.
