Chromologics is a young company, heavily focused on R&D and product development with the ambition of bringing fermentation derived natural food colors to the market.

We are currently a team of 17 with backgrounds in fermentation, food science, biotechnology, and business. With international investors backing our product development, we are working to accelerate the transition within natural food colorants away from traditional extraction of agricultural products towards precision fermentation.

To further advance our shift from R&D to production, we are seeking an experienced QMS specialist to develop our Quality Management System.

Quality Management has been a focus area for Chromologics the last year in upscaling production and preparing for launch. We are now ready to take the next step and are looking for the specialist who can help us implement a QMS system.

You will identify key procedures and define steps for operational optimization and quality assurance. This includes validating & establishing procedures within R&D, production, data handling, and document management.

Chromologics commercial production is developed in a partnership with a FSSC 22000 certified European Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) and you will play a key part in developing quality interfaces, procedures, and audits.

Your responsibilities:

  • Establish the overall Quality Management System (QMS) for Chromologics
  • Develop internal GMP framework to manage production based on Contract Manufacturing
  • Validate and audit GMP and quality status of external collaborators (CMOs and CROs)
  • Develop HACCP plan and perform risk assessments in collaboration with CMO
  • Conducting training programs for staff on quality assurance practices, food safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare the framework for a future quality certification.

Your profile:

  • You have worked a minimum of 5 years with Quality Management, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control, preferably within food production.
  • Hold a BA degree in food science, food technology, engineering or related disciplines
  • Experience in production of food, feed, pharmaceuticals, chemicals etc.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, BRC, FSSC 22000, and ISO certification
  • Preferably experience with food authorities, Kosher and Halal organizations and certifying bodies
  • Have the ability to influence and change old habits into new routines resulting in a strong quality culture within the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • You are structured and have attention to detail in your daily work
  • Strong sense of responsibility towards your work that contributes to the quality and safety of the final product
  • Ideally, hands-on experience conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

Welcome to Chromologics!

Chromologics was founded in 2017 and is using precision fermentation to produce novel colorants. Our technology platform will enable us to be early movers in introducing exclusively fermentation-derived natural food colorants to the market that are high-performing, cost-competitive, and sustainable alternatives.
