Role Overview
The Field Application Specialist plays a critical role in providing technical expertise and application support throughout pre-sale and post-sale activities. You will serve as the scientific expert for Celvivo’s dynamic 3D cell culture systems.
Key Responsibilities
General
- Provide pre-sales technical consultation to support opportunity qualification.
- Deliver high-impact product demonstrations and scientific presentations and handle application discussions.
- Drive strong onboarding to secure early customer success and recurring usage.
Scientific Support and Customer Engagement
- Support demo preparations, customer evaluations, installations if required.
- Act as scientific escalation point for complex customer discussions.
- Troubleshoot application-related issues.
Onboarding and Customer Success
- Conduct on-site and remote training to ensure strong onboarding.
- Provide troubleshooting support for application-related and technical issues with software and hardware.
- Build trusted relationships with researchers in academia, biotech and pharma.
- Develop training material for customers, distributors and internal teams.
- Maintain a structured training library and demo equipment inventory.
- Create modules, manuals, and video-supported content.
- Conduct internal onboarding for Sales, FAS, and Marketing.
- Coordinate webinars, workshops and training events with Marketing and Sales
- Collaboration with Marketing and Science for regional/local content alignment
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Science, Marketing and Engineering teams.
- Provide structured field feedback to support product improvement and market strategy.
- Collaborate cross-regionally to align execution across global teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- MSc in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 3 or more years of hands-on laboratory experience in cell biology or advanced in vitro models.
- 1-3 years experience in B2C and B2B sales
- Strong background in 3D cell culture, organoids or spheroids highly desirable.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical, field application or scientific support role preferred.
- Understanding of cell-based assays, analysis methods, experimental optimization.
- Basic technical aptitude with ability to perform first-line troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation.
- Strong communication skills in English. Additional languages are beneficial.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently (60–75%).
